Most recently, Ariel Salama was Managing Director and Global Head of Private Banks, ABN AMRO Bank Wholesale division in London. Prior to that Mr. Salama was the Chief Risk Officer of Republic National Bank of New York and later the Chief Investment Officer of its Private Bank in the Americas.
 Before Joining Republic National Bank, Mr. Salama was General Manager and Global Head of Corporate Finance at Tokai Bank Europe and served on the board of directors of this bank, and Managing Director and Head of Global Risk Advisory at Bankers Trust of New York. He joined Bankers Trust in London in 1988 as a vice president in the risk management division.
He started his career in banking in Banque Generale du Commerce. S.A. Paris, a family owned bank. He holds a BA in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne (graduated in 1982). In 2002 Mr. Salama was nominated as Corporate Risk Manager of the Year by Risk Magazine. |
